The young people of Ottawa are doing amazing things. Join us in honouring their excellence and accomplishments by nominating a young person for the Spirit of the Capital Youth Awards!

The deadline for nominations is April 25th, 2012.

Award Categories

Awards are presented in the following eight categories:

  • Academic Perseverance
  • Arts & Culture
  • Personal Courage
  • Service & Caring
  • Young Activist
  • Young Athlete
    • Nomination Package Trousse de mise en candidature
  • Young Entrepreneurship
  • Youth & Technology
  • Personal Courage

Nominate Now Soumettre une mise en candidature

Selection Process

Once nominations have closed, the Spirit Awards Selection Committee will review all nominations and additional information. In each of the eight award categories, the Selection Committee will select a winner and a first-runner up who will be presented with awards and bursaries ($500 for the winner, and $250 for the first-runner up) at the Spirit Awards gala. The winner and first-runner up will also be provided with two tickets to attend the event, one for themselves and one for a guest of their choice.
